The “EcoTouch Ai1 Compact” ground-source heat pump from Waterkotte, designed by Industrialpartners, won the German Design Award back in 2019. In 2020, Waterkotte once again received the German Design Award for the newly developed “EcoTouch Ai1 Air Bloc” air heat pump in the “Excellent Product Design – Energy” category.
Heat pumps are the more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional gas or oil heating systems and have become increasingly important in recent years. The low emission values and heating costs, as well as the longevity and rapid amortization, are motivating more and more people to switch to alternative energies.
But these heat pumps have had one problem so far. They were loud and not particularly beautiful. industrialpartners is changing this and has come up with a clear and modern design for the new “EcoTouch Ai1 Air Bloc” air heat pump. Furthermore, the housing dimensions of the heat pump have been optimized so that the product fits seamlessly into any living environment.
Efficiency in its most beautiful form
Quiet operation of outdoor units plays a major role in new-build areas. When developing this product, the main priority was therefore to reduce noise emissions while maintaining high performance.
Accordingly, a weather-resistant housing with special sound insulation was chosen for the outdoor unit. As a result, noise emissions have been significantly reduced in the new design. This makes the “EcoTouch Ai1 Air Bloc” air source heat pump the quietest in its performance class.
