Designentwicklung Dusch- und Pflegestuhl

The Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM) is a nationwide funding program that is open to all technologies and sectors. ZIM is intended to sustainably strengthen the innovative strength and thus the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.

It is intended to contribute to economic growth, in particular by opening up value-added potential and raising the level of application-oriented knowledge.

In cooperation with BEKA Hospitec, industrialpartners has successfully acquired a cooperation project for the development of an innovative hygiene and shower chair according to BEKA Hospitec’s specifications.

The novel chair is characterized by the fact that it can be used for daily nursing and elderly care as well as for the transport of horizontally positioned patients. It is equipped with a battery-powered drive system to reduce the workload of nursing staff. In addition, it offers completely new positioning options for the positioning and transport of sick patients and patients in need of care.

The development focused in particular on relieving the nursing staff.

industrialpartners was responsible for the overall development and initially designed the aesthetic appearance of the complex nursing chair, taking into account the functional requirements. Using various FEM analysis tools, the kinematic structure was then developed and optimized in various iteration steps.

The result is a nursing and hygiene chair that meets the highest requirements for variability, scalability and flexibility in modern nursing.
